A hell of a lot of oil flowed into the Gulf from that massive oil spill. The oil didn't just disappear.

BP knows that the ecosystem has been changed forever. Offshore cleanup should include water & fish monitoring instead of closing down quickly. The oil is still out there. Until fishmen can sell the fish & oysters they catch - what may they do to earn a living? On Shore beaches and marshes will still need clean up. With all those off shore rigs shut down, fishermen unable to work and tourists not coming - where are the many private jobs that existed before BP Deepwater Horizon blow up?

It may appear clean on the surface, but the environment won't feel the same as before that's for sure in terms of the impact

Shore-based clean up should not change, but off-shore clean obviously will change/stop. Three months of free flowing oil does not simply disappear.
