Sorry but sometimes the politics is the reason for the fuel prices. When Gov. has the authority & responsibility to act on behalf of the people & they don't, then that is an issue. Sorry if gas prices are related to Government, but in this case they are in my opinion. If the Republicans had done nothing for 5 yrs to help when they could have I would critize their lack of action. For Instance The increased Speculation in US markets was a result of Pres. Clinton changing the rules on speculation at the end of his term. The experts agree speculation probably raises the price of fuel at the pump by up to 30%. The amount of oil & Diesel Exported out of the USA affects the price & Washington has the control on Export taxesor restrictions on Export of all commodities.

A BIG CONGRATS on 700 consecutive days! Awesome! Wow, another 100 days have passed again, already! : ) For some it seems pretty easy to come back each day! But for most GBs they don't seem to have the dedication or the persistence it takes to come back and post gas prices each day for other GBs! Or they just run out of gas! :( Hang onto your speed lines, it only takes one day to lose them! I'm sure you know! But even clicking on news articles links, which are the easiest points here on GasBuddy, when you can't or didn't post gas prices before midnight will save your consecutive days! : ) WARNING! Every day GBs lose their consecutive days for many reasons, many with big numbers, the #1 reason, "oops, I just forgot!" :( If you ever lose your consecutive days; that is NO FAULT of your own, please contact me! On Friday 7/13/12, ImCheapinNJ reported on CobraLeader's Whiteboard, that CobraLeader passed away on 11 Dec 2010! I know it's been a long time since anyone has heard from CobraLeader, many GBs have been wondering what had happened to CobraLeader! :( I heard CL had more than 5,000 buddies on his buddy list and many more GBs knew of his presence here in GasBuddyland! We'll miss our buddy CobraLeader, but he'll always have GasBuddies that will remember him for being here! May CL R.I.P. : )
